With all the great deals at Kroger this week, and many of them including Catalina's, I thought this would be a great time to discuss what a Catalina Coupon is.
The term Catalina refers to any coupon that is printed out at the register upon checkout for use towards your next transaction or visit. These coupons are printed from a machine called a Catalina machine, hence the name of the coupons, and the machine sits right next to the cash register. These machines are used in all sorts of stores and sometimes referred to as different names, such as Register Rewards at Walgreen's.
Catalina coupons come in two different forms.
1. Cents or dollars off a specific product on your next visit. When using this, it is considered a manufacturer coupon, therefore you cannot stack other coupons with it.
2. Dollars off your next order. This coupon can be used towards (almost) anything in the store and will deduct the amount from your total. You may use any other applicable coupons you wish in combination with this Catalina.
Make separate purchases or transactions, as the Catalina deal will only print once per transaction.
Here's an example: Capri Sun 10 ct. get $3 off your next order when you purchase (4). If you were to purchase (8) of them, only (1) Catalina will print. So in order to maximize your savings, separate your order into multiple transactions, purchasing (4) Capri Suns in each transaction.
